Work It Wednesday: What's New In the Studio and 10 Week Etsy Shop Series

New Items

You'll be finding a fun new item in the shop soon. The brand spankin' new BooBoo Ice ice/heat packs! If you saw our post last week with our contest and fun new fabrics, you'll be pleased to know that the wait is over and the item has been revealed!

No one guessed correctly what the new item was and a winner was randomly chosen from all the guesses made on the blog and on Facebook. The winner of our contest was Natasha Lanier!

I'm in LOVE with these adorable fabrics and how perfectly cuddly and cozy they are to soothe your little one's booboos. I don't know about you, but my kids want a bandaid for every single bump. But with these sweet little ice packs in the freezer, they ditch the idea of a bandaid for their booboo ice! The best part? Adults can use them too for a little cooling relief (migraines or minor cooking mishaps anyone?) and even pop them in the microwave for a few seconds for those minor aches from chasing the little munchkins around all day.

Personalize Your Items

Another great thing that's coming soon is our embroidery machine! That's right. You asked for it and now it's becoming a reality. I have officially ordered my Brother embroidery machine and it will be here in about a week. Personalized bows, bags, sleep masks and onesies here we come!

Also coming soon...

New Blog Series

For those of you looking for a little Etsy shop owner wisdom, next week will mark the beginning of our 10 Week Etsy Shop series "Improving Your Etsy Shop". This series will go through everything from scheduling and organizing to photography and tagging. I can't wait to share all of these great posts with you!

So what do you think of the new items, the upcoming options of personalization with our embroidery machine, and our new blog series?

Makin' It Monday: Your Chance to WIN

I had an excellent supply shopping day Friday and came home with some fun fabrics, ribbons, and beads. These will all eventually become bows, jewelry, sleep masks, and scarves.

But today I'm working on new items. Brand new ones. Something not in the shop currently, and that I haven't had in it before.

What is it you may ask...

You could ask, but I'm not telling. At least not until someone guesses correctly because today YOU get a chance to WIN what I'm making.

Here are the beautiful fabrics I will be using:

One very lucky person will get their choice of the end result IF they are the first person to guess what I'm making.
**If there are no correct guesses everyone will be entered by number in the order of entry and a random winner will be chosen

Will you be the winner? Give it a shot! What do you think it is? And what are you making or working on today?

Share our blog with your friends so that they get a chance to play too! The more the merrier!
If you have a blog too, let me know in the comments so we can follow you and give you some blog love!

Things to LOVE for Fall

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm ready for Fall. More ready than I think I've ever been before in my life. After the exhausting heat and drought of the summer I am welcoming Fall weather with open arms.

Looking through all of the awesome things I'm finding on Pinterest is making me more and more anxious for some autumn leaves, cooler temps, football and all the other school events.

My little diva started Pre-K this year and she's really enjoying it. I miss having her home all day, but it's really exciting when she comes home from school hearing all of the neat things she learned that day.

My older daughter is a Middle School cheerleader (yeah, yeah...I'm getting old. I know) and I'm looking forward to snuggling in a blanket on the bleachers with the family watching her cheer our team to victory.

And in honor of cheerleaders and sports fans everywhere I am now making Spirit Bows. I'm starting with the town I live in and a few of the surrounding towns. I think it's so much fun to see everyone in the town bonded together, dressed in school colors, and cheering for their teams.

I have also been trying out recipes that make me think of fall. I was browsing through "Spiced Apple" recipes (and by browsing I mean, I Googled it) and found this little gem:

Spiced Apples in a slow cooker??? Who knew? When I think slow cooker I think of roasts and stew....not yummy delicious desserts. But, apparently there are many desserts that can be made in a slow cooker and I intend on trying a good chunk of them. Why? Because it's nice to be able to start dinner in the morning and not have to worry about it again until it's time to eat in the evening. Plus, I may or may not have forgotten to thaw something for dinner on more than one occasion....I can't be the only one, can I?

What are your favorite things about Fall?

How to Have the Ultimate Summer

Summer is in the air....and that air is HOT! So how do we keep our little girls looking fabulous all summer and keep them cool? Here are a few tips for a great summer with your little princess.

Pigtails....I can't stress enough how much of a lifesaver pigtails can be. It keeps longer hair off of your girl's neck and shoulders and as an added bonus it's SUPER adorable. Especially with some of our Pigtail Bow Sets. They're the perfect size for itty bitty piggy tails.

For a little fun color in your girl's hair without being permanent or damaging try some of the Crayola Hair Color Stix. If you can't find them in your local store they are also available online through several different sites.

Hit the water... Keep it cool in the pool (or lake, or any body of water really). Summertime fun and memories are sure to be made swimming, fishing, and camping. Isn't that what summer is all about?

Don't forget the sunscreen. Those precious kiddos may squirm and wriggle when you're trying to put it on, but sunscreen is a definite must to protect their precious skin and prevent a burn.

A FAB tote to stash your sunscreen, towel, and other swimming or camping gear
(like your camera for all those pics of your little cutie)

Most of all, have FUN and make memories that are sure to last a lifetime.
