Things to LOVE for Fall

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm ready for Fall. More ready than I think I've ever been before in my life. After the exhausting heat and drought of the summer I am welcoming Fall weather with open arms.

Looking through all of the awesome things I'm finding on Pinterest is making me more and more anxious for some autumn leaves, cooler temps, football and all the other school events.

My little diva started Pre-K this year and she's really enjoying it. I miss having her home all day, but it's really exciting when she comes home from school hearing all of the neat things she learned that day.

My older daughter is a Middle School cheerleader (yeah, yeah...I'm getting old. I know) and I'm looking forward to snuggling in a blanket on the bleachers with the family watching her cheer our team to victory.

And in honor of cheerleaders and sports fans everywhere I am now making Spirit Bows. I'm starting with the town I live in and a few of the surrounding towns. I think it's so much fun to see everyone in the town bonded together, dressed in school colors, and cheering for their teams.

I have also been trying out recipes that make me think of fall. I was browsing through "Spiced Apple" recipes (and by browsing I mean, I Googled it) and found this little gem:

Spiced Apples in a slow cooker??? Who knew? When I think slow cooker I think of roasts and stew....not yummy delicious desserts. But, apparently there are many desserts that can be made in a slow cooker and I intend on trying a good chunk of them. Why? Because it's nice to be able to start dinner in the morning and not have to worry about it again until it's time to eat in the evening. Plus, I may or may not have forgotten to thaw something for dinner on more than one occasion....I can't be the only one, can I?

What are your favorite things about Fall?

Why YES we're very Pinteresting

Heaven help me...I'm addicted to Pinterest. And not in a healthy way I'm afraid. I can sit and Pin for hours...and hours...and HOURS!

It's like shopping for people like me that are to lazy to go out and meander around the mall.

Cookbooks? What's that...I just go to my Pinterest and all sorts of yummy treats appear before my eyes. And with instructions on how to make them no less. (that is if the ingredients happen to be in my kitchen at the time)

And lets not forget the amazing makeup and hair tutorials

Crafts...awesome ideas...cool products... I mean seriously, why bother looking at any other sites, or working, or cleaning the house. I'm too busy pinning awesome organization tips so that in the event I do get off of Pinterest. I can blankly stare at the chaos around me and then hop back on Pinterest to check out that pin I remember pinning (and then get lost for another couple of hours in Pinterestland)

And guess what?....I want to follow all of you. So, if you have a Pinterest post it here so we can see everyone's awesome pins. And if you don't have a Pinterest...get thee to www.pinterest.com immediately and get one. You'll be hooked. I guarantee it. *

*I don't actually guarantee that you'll be hooked....but if you're not, I would be in complete shock.

So follow us on Pinterest and join in on all the fun.
Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ as well...because we LOVE sharing.
(at least when it doesn't involve sharing cookies or cupcakes... if I find them they're MINE all MINE)

How to Have the Ultimate Summer

Summer is in the air....and that air is HOT! So how do we keep our little girls looking fabulous all summer and keep them cool? Here are a few tips for a great summer with your little princess.

Pigtails....I can't stress enough how much of a lifesaver pigtails can be. It keeps longer hair off of your girl's neck and shoulders and as an added bonus it's SUPER adorable. Especially with some of our Pigtail Bow Sets. They're the perfect size for itty bitty piggy tails.

For a little fun color in your girl's hair without being permanent or damaging try some of the Crayola Hair Color Stix. If you can't find them in your local store they are also available online through several different sites.

Hit the water... Keep it cool in the pool (or lake, or any body of water really). Summertime fun and memories are sure to be made swimming, fishing, and camping. Isn't that what summer is all about?

Don't forget the sunscreen. Those precious kiddos may squirm and wriggle when you're trying to put it on, but sunscreen is a definite must to protect their precious skin and prevent a burn.

A FAB tote to stash your sunscreen, towel, and other swimming or camping gear
(like your camera for all those pics of your little cutie)

Most of all, have FUN and make memories that are sure to last a lifetime.

Our Blog Got a Makeover!

I just wasn't happy with the look of the blog. Sure, it was kinda cute, but I just hadn't had time to play around with it and make it my own. Until today. Some of you may know, I've been a little laid up in bed recently because I had quite the dental procedure a few days ago. I haven't felt up to creating much but I've been browsing through the net quite a bit (thank goodness for laptops)

I just couldn't get over how my blog looked. It didn't "fit". It wasn't me...it was the canned version of a template that wasn't really my style, it was just convenient when I created the blog to pop it up there really fast and move on. Well that ends today! I edited the entire blog, changed the colors, the layout, EVERYTHING (honestly I may have gotten a little obsessive about the whole ordeal)

I want to thank Kelly at Kelly Designs for the fantastic graphics she does, and for helping me decide on the "Bring on the Bling" tag line. Everyone that has a blog, a business, or any type of page that needs a little added "oomph" should definitely stop by her shop. She's an awesome friend and really knows how to make fantastic classy graphics to spice up your site!

Thank you Kelly....you have saved me from myself...and my laziness. You are truly a ROCK STAR!

You can find Kelly in a variety of places so she can make some snazzy graphics for you too!

And Kelly....I have a feeling I'm going to need a ton more graphics from you soon :)

Manic Monday

I've been making some really fun things this week. New bows and super new (for me anyway) mini top hats.

I will be getting pics of and posting new mini top hat designs this week. All of the mini top hats will be one of a kind (OOAK) And you can even order a custom design and color.

I'm always looking for new sweet and fun things to make! If you have an idea something you think would make an awesome new addition to our shop send me a message on our Facebook page or our Email and if we do end up adding it to the shop as a new item you will get one of them first...and at everyone's favorite price...FREE!!

On the holiday front, Mother's Day is coming up quick and here are just a few of my friend's shops that have some fantastic items for your mom (or for yourself)

Powers Of Love has some really fun photo albums and picture frames that would make a great gift for moms to keep those precious pics in:

Crimson Hill Soaps and Scents has a wonderful selection of soaps, lotions, and perfumes to pamper mom with. My favorite is the Mandarin Tiki!

And of course at Crimson Hill Designs you can find beautiful wire wrapped rings!

I've been a bad, bad, girl

I have neglected my blog for WAY too long. I am in serious need of a scheduling overhaul for pretty much everything. I've been so swamped lately that every time I sat down to post on my blog something has come up. A ton has gone on and I am definitely going to start keeping up with blogging better.

You are all my witnesses!

So...Spring Break has come and gone. The kids weren't fond of me during that time frame b/c the entire house got an overhaul. I went through every little nook of the house (and yes, even the garage) and purged and organized.

With my renewed Spring organization also came a schedule. That's right....I said it. A schedule! I have been plotting and planning and jotting down things on my calendar. I am ready for the spring and the renewal it brings.

In the shop I've been adding some SUPER cute bags and wallets. The tote bags are my favorite and are really incredibly versatile. You can use them as purses, beach bags, sleepover bags for the kiddos when they go to their slumber parties. So much fun, and really adorable. Check them out!

Also, if you have a girl's sports team and are looking for a fun way to make them stand out let me know. I love making bows all the time, but it's really fun making a whole team full of super cute girls bows. And you get a discount for group orders...Who doesn't love that?

My Office Organizing Makeover

Definitely a work in progress, but I did make a lot of improvement last night! Let me start out by saying that my office is NOT that big. It is in fact a quite small walk-in closet.

I worked on one area. The ribbon. Wonder where all the ribbon missing from the craft store shelves goes? It goes straight to my office. I have enough ribbon to decorate a small army of divas for quite some time. I thought (foolishly) that I had part of a wall of ribbon...I actually have almost two walls FULL of ribbon.

I have been so busy working on new bows lately that I haven't been rolling up my ribbon after I'm done cutting....SO here is the chaos that was my office before I started organizing it...

Yes I was working in chaos. Don't judge. :)

And THIS is what ONE of my walls of ribbon looks like after one night of tidying up

(yes that's right there's another wall behind me that is also full of ribbon, but it is also all nice and neat like this now)

I'm still working on the ribbon walls. They need to be organized by color (I have some obsessive impulses that tell me so) and I'm really trying to get the hubby to make me better ribbon storage than the hangers. I, unlike "Mommy Dearest" can see the value in wire hangers now though. So there's a plus right?

Ideally, I think a nice sectioned shelf with some dowel rods would be AWESOME for my ribbon storage....but after the hubby sees the massive amounts of ribbon I actually have, maybe he'll get moving on that shelf a little faster.

I intend on taking more pics and sharing more of my horrendous before pics as the project progresses. My fabric is next and I think I've found a great way to organize that too. It's the yarn that has me worried...no idea what to do with it.

What are your organizing pitfalls? What would you like to do with your crafting/work spaces?

Bringing in Spring

I've been busy the past week making some really fun things for Spring.

First thing I want to mention is our new bitty clips lines. They're little bitty clips that are really great for babies and for teens too! There are three sets currently available with more in the works very soon.

Dots Bitty Clips (Set of 8)

Zebra Bitty Clips (Set of 8)

Rock Star Bitty Clips (Set of 8)

I've also been working on some bright and beautiful spring inspired bigger bows. The details on these bows are so fun. Especially the ones with the tiny bow accents. These spring colored bows are going to be really adorable accessories for Easter dresses and Spring pictures.

Sage Green Dizzy Dots Layered Bow

Spring Blue Dizzy Dots Layered Bow

Spring Pink Dizzy Dots Layered Bow

And of course...we can't forget the divas! So I created this fun and funky lavender zebra bow with the diva in mind. It's a little over the top..but that's what divas do best!

Purple Zebra Layered Bow

Hopefully you find a couple of bows that you and your gals will really enjoy. If you have any suggestions on designs you'd like to see let me know. Also, if you have an outfit that you need a matching bow for I am always happy to do special orders.

I'm going to continue getting ready for Spring with more great designs...and maybe the weather will move towards Spring with me
